Tara LaRosa  is a veteran mixed martial artist, grappler, and woman’s mma pioneer who was the first and only Bodog Fight Women’s Bantamweight Champion! In 2013, LaRosa was inducted in the New Jersey Martial Arts Hall of Fame and her Moosin-God of Martial Arts match against Roxanne Modaferri was voted the Best Fight of the Year in 2010

She has lived in eight different cities over the course of her career in order to train at the best of the best MMA gyms. She felt when it came to gym’s, coining the phrase “if the roof don’t leak, I’m not interested” meaning if its too easy, too new, too clean and perfect you’re not gonna work hard.

Accolades aside Tara recently found herself standing up for women after Kris Zylinski claimed that “99% of women are too weak and lack the reflexes to do enough damage to stop 99% of men. Even if they knew BJJ they just don’t have the size or strength to use the holds. Its dangerous to teach any woman to try and strike or fight a man.”

In this weeks episode Tara talks boldly about concealed weapons vs self defense unless you train with dedication.
