Disappointed featherweight fighter Pam “Bam” Sorenson talks about not making it into the TUF 28 house.

Currently there is lots of speculation on what will become of the women’s featherweight division, considering other top ranked featherweight contenders including Cindy Dandois(12-3) who owns a submission win over Megan Anderson, as well as additional victories over Marloes Coenen, Jorina Baars and King Reina did not make the cut. Other notable featherweights that did not make it into the TUF house were Faith McMah, Jessy Miele, Zarah Fairn, and Jozette Cotton.

Rumor has it that 5 bantamweight fighters  and only 3 featherweights made the cut, one of which does not have a pro MMA record. The chosen cast members  include women who did not attend the original tryouts. Click HERE to view the full list of 28 women who tried out for the season.

With Cyborg only having 2 fights left on her contract, and Anderson losing to Holm, is it possible that the UFC plans to phase out the division?

Sorenson remains hopeful that the UFC will look to sign her to face Cyborg in the very near future!
